JOB 1: Mechanical Designer:

  • Load analyses using computer software packages for the purposes of system sizing
  • Air side and water side calculations for designing building systems
  • Report writing, including existing system review and analysis, documentation of proposed building systems, and summaries of the calculation methodologies

Requirements:

  • Technologist Diploma
  • Full working knowledge of Autodesk software including AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in design engineering-related firm
  • Proven interest in the built-environment
  • Good time management habits, ability to multi-task, ability to sustain focus on long tasks
  • Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way
  • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, teamwork, creativity.


Preferred Skills:

  • An engineering technician certification
  • Proficiency with REVIT.
  • Membership in ASHRAE
  • Course in sustainability and/or energy/thermal modeling skills
  • Previous work experience with HVAC
  • Through period of on-the-job training in engineering analysis, supervised design of parts of real projects, responsibility for production of selected drawings and report content, in-house courses in multi-disciplinary design, and project site visits, you will quickly become an essential part of the delivery team.

JOB 2: Mechanical Engineer/Technologist

  • Load analyses using computer software packages for the purposes of system sizing 
  • Air side and water side calculations for designing building systems 
  • Report writing, including existing system review and analysis, documentation of proposed building systems, and summaries of the calculation methodologies 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology Diploma
  • Coursework in HVAC design or heat transfer and thermodynamics 
  • Previous experience in design engineering-related firm 
  • Proven interest in the built-environment 


Preferred Skills:

  • P.Eng., P.Tech. or CET certification
  • Membership in ASHRAE 
  • Course in sustainability, energy/thermal modeling skills, AutoCAD drafting skills 
  • Previous work experience with HVAC 
  • Past history of technical presentations and technical writing 
  • Evidence of personal investment in academic or extracurricular field
  • On-the-job training in engineering analysis, supervised design of parts of real projects, responsibility for production of selected drawings and report content, in-house courses in multi-disciplinary design, and project site visits, you will quickly become an essential part of the delivery team
