George Benford, Parametrix’s Newest Salt Lake City Engineering Office Leader

Salt Lake City, UT  —  MES, Magna’s Executive Search division is extremely pleased to congratulate George Benford on his recent appointment as the new Engineering Office Leader for Parametrix, in Salt Lake City.

George Benford brings over 40 years of experience in the engineering industry, including 19 years in the private sector and 22 in the public sector. George earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Memphis State University and has an ASCE certification in Civil Engineering. For the last several decades, George has participated in all phases of project design, construction, planning, and studies for transportation, utilities, environmental studies, traffic studies, and public involvement. He has proven experience as a primary decision maker and senior executive/manager, having supervised over 270 full-time employees as his career matured, and possesses a background developing staff programs and producing collaborative and fulfilling work environments. Moreover, George has forged strong client relationships with senior and executive staff at Utah Department of Transportation, Utah Transit Authority, and most of the cities, countries, service districts, major developers, government agencies and academia in Northern Utah.

Parametrix’s Salt Lake City office has approximately 10 staff providing services in transportation and environmental planning, urban design, and traffic engineering to public agencies throughout the region, including the Utah Department of Transportation. The office was established in 2015 when Parametrix acquired InterPlan.

Charles Luby, ResMed’s Newest Worldwide Project Compressor Engineer

Charles Luby, ResMed’s Newest Worldwide Project Compressor Engineer

DENVER, CO  —  MES, Magna’s Executive Search division is extremely pleased to congratulate Charles Luby on his appointment as the new Worldwide Project Compressor Engineer for ResMed Motor Technologies.

Charles “Chuck” Luby is a well respected, and highly regarded Engineer with 20 years of active design experience in compressed air systems, designing both lubricated and oil free compressor systems. These compressors ranged from low horsepower, low pressure, high volume blower systems operating at 5 PSI to high pressure 4 stage reciprocating units operating at 6000 PSI up to 100 HP. His reciprocating compressor designs includes the design of both overhung and bicycle type crankshafts driving both tilt piston and lubricated wrist pin design pistons. Charles worked with industry leaders to develop oil control, combination and compression rings, pistons and accompanying cylinders. He designed both concentric ring and finger inlet and discharge valves using Swedish spring steel for maximum durability.

Boasting 25 years of collaborative teamwork, working alongside domestic and international engineering teams to deliver quality products on time and on budget. His experience is global, spanning from China to Mexico. In addition Chuck has conceived, designed, developed and released over 60 new products including engine driven and electric air compressors, power tools and pressure washers, for sale in industrial, commercial and retail sites nationwide.

Chuck holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and also comes with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. We could not be more pleased to see Chuck make an incredible impact on the lives of millions of people around the world!

Justine Manaid, Eden Housing’s Newest Associate Director of Facilities

SAN FRANCISCO, CA  — MES, Magna’s Executive Search division is extremely pleased to congratulate Justine Manaid on her recent appointment as the new Associate Director of Facilities (ADF) for Eden Housing.

Justine Manaid is a well respected, and highly regarded leader with 15 years experience in facilities management and operational leadership. Prior to her appointment, Justine had been with John Stewart (7th largest Affordable Housing Company) for over 14 years in progressive roles, starting out as an Assistant Property Manager, and currently as the Regional Manager overseeing 36 reports, and north of 1,000 affordable housing units as well as some commercial properties. She was responsible for both the Property Management and Facilities Management, looking after daily maintenance, capital improvement, long term reserve projects, rehabs and acquisitions, fiscal management, rolling out regulatory agreements, processes for tax credit, leasing, financial occupancy, and legal.

Justine brings a strong passion for education, partnerships, community development and diversification to her new role. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Dominican University of California. As well as an Associate’s Degree in Psychiatric Technician from Napa Valley College, and obtained a Psychiatric Technician License from BVNPT (Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians). In addition to the above degrees and license, she also has COS, TCS, and REAC Specialist Certificates. Marianne Parkinson is a highly experienced, successful and well-regarded Senior Marketing Leader and Chief Experience Officer, who is adept at creating and launching customer-centric marketing strategies that emotionally connect, cultivate brand loyalty and grow the bottom line. She joins MarshBerry from Constant Aviation (CA) where she was the VP of Marketing and Brand Strategy leader. Prior to her role at CA, Marianne held the AVP, Marketing – Market Strategy title at USAA, where she developed marketing initiatives that supported the company’s member growth goals and launched the first-ever multi-channeled integrated campaign to increase member retention. Marianne gained experience throughout her career in financial services, banking, insurance, and investments. Marianne’s educational background is in Interpersonal and Public Communications and holds a BA Degree from Bowling Green University.

Prior to making the move east to the continue his career in the GTA, Kevin Massey was held in high regard as one of Western Canada’s most decorated Senior Estimators while establishing and elevating Wolverine Construction (Edmonton) to new heights of project success and brand recognition. As Wolverine’s General Manager, Kevin essentially wore the COO, Finance and Project Management hats and carved out a reputation as an extremely savvy business and ‘people first’ leader. Prior to his leadership at Wolverine, Kevin was a centrally important ‘Acting Principal’ at Alliance Excavating in Edmonton, where he leveraged his professional construction toolkit to secure a record number of new contracts throughout Alberta related in the heavy civil construction, water and sewer, utility services and infrastructure projects. Alongside Kevin’s project management excellence, he has worn prominent financial leadership hats throughout his career, while spearheading key strategic initiatives that have helped each organization secure new business and retain key clients while paying equal attention to safety and project delivery.

Kevin is especially proud of his leadership of over 120+ employees, key stewardship over a plethora of complex, multi-sector infrastructure projects while setting an industry standard for employee retention and vibrant workplace culture. With a Marketing Diploma earned at NAIT and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance from Athabasca University, Kevin joins York in this key VP role which is geared specifically towards ensuring project management excellence and new business development in keeping with the company’s efforts to fully launch its Environmental and Disposal verticals.
